Artist Bio - Zion Yaynu
A self-taught painter, born in Ethiopia and raised in Australia, Zion has a broad range of cultural experiences that developed into a limitless scope of imagination. Her work is a collision of color, blending tangible culture with elements of the abstract. Vibrant and heavily textured, her art is described as organized chaos and a fusion of many realities.

Zion has moved to Ethiopia on a journey to get in touch with her Ethiopian roots and create more culturally resonant art. On her travels, Zion is packing with her the experiences and lessons Australia has taught, and injecting that into the work she produces. After being in Ethiopia for just 18 months, Zion has already opened an art studio (Zion Yaynu art studio) and begun hosting successful Sip n’ Paint events to help her new community celebrate art, together.
