We are proud to share that the Parker Clay Factory in Ethiopia just celebrated its two year anniversary! Our team spent the day reflecting on the past two years - what has been successful, what they've learned, and planning for the year ahead.
Several employees were given the opportunity to share with the team, about their own life experiences and how they've been impacted by their employment at Parker Clay. There was also an awards ceremony where employees were recognized for exemplary leadership and speciality skills such as stitching and cutting.
Finally, the team enjoyed a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony to celebrate and commence two incredible years of being in operation.
We are so proud of our team in Ethiopia and how they have grown and adapted during this year of so many unknowns. We are continuing to partner with Elillta Women at Risk, allowing us to employ women out of prostitution and provide them with tangible skills through our Center of Excellence, and plan to employ 250+ men and women by the end of 2020.
