Weekend Guide: San Luis Obispo

Weekend Guide: San Luis Obispo

We are so excited to be bringing Parker Clay to the beautiful city of San Luis Obispo with our new retail location. Here are some of our top recommended places to visit - from sites to see to the best places to eat and drink!

SLO Public Market / Parker Clay

The SLO Public Market is located on the historic Bonetti Ranch and home to our new retail shop! This might be SLO’s new one stop shop with a variety of restaurants, breweries and distilleries, and retail shops. We can’t wait to see you there!

Pirates Cove

If you are up for an adventure, head to Pirates Cove. Here you will find a short trail (about .25 miles) that leads to a stunning view of the ocean through a cove on a cliff.

Avila Beach

Avila Beach is located just outside of SLO along the southern coastline. This is a great spot to spend a day in the sun and take in the beautiful coastal views!

Downtown SLO / Bubblegum Alley

Historic Downtown SLO is full of fun shops and boutiques to explore. Bubblegum Alley is a fun SLO staple and definitely a sight to see - stop by for a photo-op!

Luna Red

If you’re looking for a good happy hour spot, put Luna Red at the top of your list! Five dollar appetizers and sangria from 3:00pm-6:00pm… need we say more?  With seating overlooking the San Luis Obispo creek this spot is perfect for a midday treat.

Buona Tavola

Buona Tavola is the spot for authentic Italian food! Come for the quaint outdoor patio seating and stay for the delicious pasta!

Sidecar Cocktail Co.

Sidecar is the place to go for fresh handcrafted cocktails! You can enjoy your drink on their beautiful outdoor patio or take it to-go.

Sally Loos

Did someone say brunch? Head to Sally Loos for a fun colorful aesthetic and delicious farm fresh, local fare. We heard the waffles are a must try!

Scout Coffee Co.

Scout is the go-to stop for a delicious cup of coffee, with two locations in the heart of downtown. Both have a bright, whimsical atmosphere that will keep you coming back!

Whalebird Kombucha

If you’re looking for a fun alternative to a glass of wine or an ale, Whalebird Kombucha is the stop. With flavors like Electric Feel, a mix of lavender, lemon and rose hips, and Kokomo, mango, guava and lime, this hard Kombucha taproom is a San Luis Obispo hidden gem!

SloDoCo Donuts

Who doesn’t love donuts - SloDoCo donuts is a fantastic stop for that midday snack. There’s always something new to explore at SloDoCo as they whip up new donut flavors every month.

Joliene Bakery

For a sweet treat or brunch and a coffee, Joliene Bakery has it all! This quaint bakery is the perfect place to start your morning right. Their homemade cookies, pastries and cakes are a local favorite!

Nite Creamery

Nite Creamery is a unique experience that's great for the whole family. Their list of funky flavors are made-to-order with liquid nitrogen and guaranteed to have a creamy treat to satisfy everyone's sweet tooth.
