LIFESTYLE // A Parker Clay Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is where you get to share a little extra love with the people who make you feel known, seen, and cherished. Parker Clay is all about reminding your loved ones just how incredible they are and how they make your world that much brighter.

We’ve put together a little collection of ideas for your Valentines + Galentine's Day. If it’s a few sparkly dresses and your best gals kicking it this February or if this is your sixteenth Valentines Day with your sweetheart, enjoy spending some good old fashion quality time together. From us at Parker Clay, Happy Valentine's Day!

THE COZY COUPLE

Calling out for all the coziest of couples: It’s time to get ultra comfy. Remember when you were little, and you just wanted to build a castle in the living room while watching that Disney Classic on repeat? Well, welcome to being an adult where the living room is YOURS - build a fun little tent and hid out for the evening. Order take out, and watch the movie you've been meaning to catch. Christmas wasn’t too long ago, so you know exactly where you put those twinkle lights!

THE ADVENTUROUS COUPLE

Sushi is romantic, right? Yeah, we think so. Instead of waiting for a table, try your hand making your own sushi! The two of you will laugh as you try to figure out this delicious Japanese tradition. It’s about trying something new with your favorite person. Sushi can seem intimidating, but actually isn't as hard to make as you'd think, so just have fun and make all the mistakes + eat all the sushi.

If you have little ones, let them be a part of the fun and create some yummy rolls! You can even have them make the dessert rolls - like Rice Krispie rolls with Swedish Fish!

THE NEW COUPLE

Pull out your wallet and see how much cash you have. That’s all you get to spend tonight. But maybe make it more challenging and put a cap on $35. Enjoy running around town together, grabbing cheap drinks and snagging a $5 pizza to eat at the beach. Valentine’s Day is about celebrating love, you don’t have to spend a lot to make it memorable.

This one if for our SB locals: Take a sweet drive up to Gibraltar. Play a Spotify Valentine's Day album. Grab a Rincon and stock it full of some of the foods that you guys eat on your first date. Another idea is only to pack red and pink foods. Apples, strawberries, red hot candies, a yummy beet salad, maybe pink kombucha! Watch the stars or these days, our little Central Coast town has been really pulling out all the stops and giving us some killer sunsets.

THE BEST GALS GROUP (You should really have a band or podcast by now).

It’s all about the ladies right now. Your favorites gals deserve to be celebrated doesn’t matter if you're in a relationship or single, take your girls out for a sweet adventure. While we would all love to be whisked away and flown to Paris for an afternoon brunch with our favorite girl crew....let’s get real.

So maybe you can’t go away for the weekend - pick a place and do all things related to it. If it’s Paris, find a sweet little bistro and sip some champagne on the patio!

Another fun adventure is to dress to the Nines and take a trip to Trader Joe's - snag all the things to make a charcuterie board that would make foodie’s mouth water. If possible get some fresh air and eat outside or if you live in a place where jackets are a must right now - send the kiddos away with that sweet man of yours. While your munching on the delicious goodies - write every lady’s name on a piece of paper then randomly pick a name. Everyone is given time to think about some sweet words for their person. On the back of the piece of paper with their name, write down some encouragement for your friend.

We hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day!

SB LOCAL TIP:

So you are planning on kicking it with your girls at Muni or Sama Sama - Well, we monogram at our flagship store in SB...all we are saying is your besties initials would look mighty cute on one of our totes or our Tigi. Do with that what you will.
