Meet Abby McEwen

Teacher | Creator | Dog Mom |

№1 — Hey Abby, How about a quick intro for those who haven’t had the pleasure to meet you!

My name is Abby McEwen and I live in Carpinteria, California. I am a teacher, wife and dog mom. When I am not in the classroom teaching, I can be found sipping on coffee, hiking with my dog Comet, perusing the farmers market for some goodies, cooking with my husband Gabe, or heading to the beach for a long walk.

№2 — How were you introduced to Parker Clay? If you had to choose just one favorite product, what would it be?

I was introduced to Parker Clay when I was attending school at Westmont College. I was drawn in when I saw how beautiful and functional their bags were. When I heard about PC's mission, I began to save up so I could have a bag of my own. I loved how PC wasn't just a company trying to get their bags out as fast as possible. Parker Clay cares about empowering women, uplifting communities and creating sustainably. I believe PC is changing the world of fashion. My first PC bag was the Miramar Leather Backpack in Rust Brown. I love how versatile this bag is. This is the bag I would take to class and on any adventure. This is still my go to bag which is why I now own it in the sand color.

№3 — You're also a creator — can you share a little about what inspires you to create content?

Creating content for Parker Clay is something I love to do. Parker Clay is the only brand I trust to make quality bags, wallets, duffels and backpacks so I naturally carry mine everywhere. I love sharing how I take my PC bags on life's adventures. I hope I can inspire others to do the same and change the world of fashion one purchase at a time.

№4 — Do you have any travel plans for the summer? If so, where will you be heading and what Parker Clay bags will you bring along?

This summer my husband and I are planning some trips locally here in California. We have already taken trips to Carmel, Newport Beach and Venice. My Miramar Leather Backpack and Taytu Weekender Bag joined these trips. It has been nice to catch up with friends in the sweet California sunshine. This summer we will be heading to the Santa Barbara Bowl for concerts, camping with our dog Comet, and visiting Catalina Island (crossing my fingers for this one.)

№5 — How do you define community? What is the power of community to you? What specifically makes you proud to be a part of the Parker Clay community?

Community is such a sweet and necessary part of life. Community is where you can feel encouraged, valued, heard, and loved. I love being a part of the PC community. Here you can find a diverse group of people that are in different stages of life, but we all have one main love of Parker Clay. We all love sharing how we use Parker Clay products in our daily lives. The PC community is loving, encouraging and empowering.
