100% Ethiopian Cotton

We use only 100% Ethiopian Cotton, hand-spun using traditional loom-based weaving techniques. We do so not only to honor the customary Ethiopian way of working with cotton, but to achieve the same quality, beauty, and durability that they have perfected over generations.

Your Choices Matter

Products from Parker Clay are life-changing – for their lifelong owners, yes, but also for the women who create them. Many women in Ethiopia have little or no opportunity for professional skill development or long-term careers, and many turn to coercive, dangerous work to provide for their families. Approximately 1 of 4 women in Addis Ababa (the capital of Ethiopia) are unemployed, and over 150,000 are in prostitution.
